The challenge

What the client needed

CoreOnco (Centre for Oncology Research & Education) treats patients from Lucknow and five other UP districts. Worried families needed clear answers in their own language — which cancers are treated, who the surgeons are, which centre is nearest and whether Ayushman Bharat or insurance covers it.

The solution

What we built

A patient-first hospital website with separate pages for every cancer type and treatment, doctor profiles, per-centre OPD pages, an affordability section for government schemes and insurance, and a full Hindi version.

Background

About CoreOnco

CoreOnco — Centre for Oncology Research & Education — is a surgical-oncology hospital headquartered in Lucknow, with centres in Hardoi, Sitapur, Raebareli, Amethi and Lakhimpur Kheri. Its surgeons are fellowship-trained at Tata Memorial, Mumbai. Patients and their families often arrive frightened and confused, many from smaller towns, and many depend on Ayushman Bharat or other government schemes to afford treatment.

Our approach

How we planned and delivered it

We organised the site the way patients search: by cancer type (oral, tongue, head and neck, breast, gastrointestinal, chest and lung, gynaecological, urological, musculoskeletal), by treatment (surgical oncology, robotic surgery, microvascular reconstruction, chemotherapy, palliative care), by doctor and by centre. Each centre has its own page with OPD days. An affordability section explains cashless treatment under PM-JAY, state schemes and private insurance or TPA. A Hindi version mirrors the English site for patients who prefer Hindi, and Book Appointment, WhatsApp and a 24×7 emergency number are reachable from every page. Patient stories are published only with written consent.

Technical notes

Key technical decisions

Bilingual structure (English at / and Hindi at /hi/), a title tag that leads with "Cancer Hospital in Lucknow", a canonical tag on every page and separate location pages that build local relevance for each district.

Status

Live in English and Hindi. Ongoing work: more patient-education content and continued improvements to local search visibility for each centre.
