Why use a URL runner instead of cron?

Normal cron jobs cannot run faster than once a minute. This runner can call your URL every few seconds, never starts a new request before the last one finishes, and restarts on its own after an error. It is ideal for hotel availability sync, product stock updates, order status checks and any script that only gives you a URL.

  • Seconds-level schedule — no crontab editing.
  • No overlapping runs — safe for long downloads.
  • Auto-recovery — retries 15 seconds after any error.
  • Heartbeat — shows clearly if the process was stopped by the server.

Frequently asked questions

What is the URL Runner?

A free tool that calls one URL (for example an API sync script) again and again in the background — every 5, 10 or 30 seconds, or every 1–5 minutes — with a live log, uptime timer and automatic recovery after errors.

How is this different from a normal cron job?

Standard cron cannot run more often than once a minute, and slow runs can overlap. This runner waits for each request to finish before sleeping, so heavy jobs never run twice at the same time. Read cron job vs background runner.

What happens if my URL fails?

The runner logs the HTTP code and error, waits 15 seconds and retries automatically. A 3-minute timeout stops a hung request from freezing the loop.

Does it keep running if I close the browser?

Yes. It keeps going until you press Stop. If the server stops it, the page shows "Process died" and you can start it again.
